So, I just had a really interesting conversation with one of my friends. We were just talking about beer, and said that 24 cans was a case, and that a 30 pack (he calls it a 30-rack) cannot be called a case. This kind of confused me because I've heard people call anything from 18, 24 to 30 cases, so I've just assumed that any form of beer in a box like that was considered a case. But, I don't think I've ever referred to it as a case, I just call them 6, packs, 12 packs, 18 packs, 24 packs and 30 packs. Come to think of it, I've never bought anything bigger than an 18 pack. Where I used to live in Ohio people called 18 packs "flats" because they were all flat in a box, which I never hear in WV.
